“They turned my rust bucket into a showpiece. I don’t know whether to drive it or put it in a museum.”
– Rusty McFenderbender
“Ryan didn’t just work on my car; he performed on it. There was glitter in the shop vac, sass in every weld, and somehow my car left shinier than a drag show spotlight. 10/10 would let him polish my exhaust tip again.”
– Fabulous Frank
"Ken rebuilt my entire drivetrain while rocking adult diapers like pit crew gear. The guy’s been wrenching since carburetors were high tech, and he still moves faster than my delivery driver. If experience had a smell, it’d be shop grease and Bengay."
– Transmission Tammy
“They didn’t just fix my car, they resurrected it. Pretty sure it left the shop holier than me.”
– Reverend Rod
"Jeremy designs custom builds like NASA plans rocket launches. Every part is overengineered, color-coded, and somehow welded straighter than a ruler. I trust him more than I trust my own brakes."
– Brake Pad Brad
“It’s not a restoration, it’s an exorcism. They drove every demon out of that frame.”
– Axel Hellraiser
“The metalwork was so clean I started apologizing to my car for the years of neglect.”
– Patty Piston
“Every weld looks like artwork. I feel bad driving it through mud now… kinda.”
– Grease Monkey Mike
About Us

Proudly veteran-owned, Slab Automotive offers high-quality, dependable solutions built on integrity and expertise.
Management Team
Jeremy Slabaugh
President
Jeremy’s journey started with the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a Computer, Network, Cryptographic, and Switching Systems Journeyman. Those early years forged a love for precision, troubleshooting, and building things that work flawlessly under pressure. Over the next two decades, Jeremy built a reputation in IT as a Senior Engineer, Architect, and Consultant, solving complex problems for organizations ranging from small businesses to multibillion-dollar corporations, as well as federal, state, and local governments.
But behind the technical expertise is a lifelong gearhead whose true passion has always been custom fabrication and high-performance engineering—bringing the same precision and problem-solving mindset from mission-critical systems to every build in the shop.
Ken Slabaugh
Chief
After decades of keeping Air Force jets in the air, our resident wrench-turner hung up his stripes as a Chief Master Sergeant and traded fighter jets for fenders. He’s seen more checklists than you’ve had oil changes, more jet engines than you’ve had hot dinners, and now he’s bringing that same no-nonsense precision to your ride. These days, he sports adult diapers like a seasoned pit crew wears knee pads—pure practicality. If your car’s acting up, don’t worry: if he could keep a multimillion-dollar aircraft flying, your rusty daily driver doesn’t stand a chance at staying broken.
Ryan Slabaugh
Assistant to the Regional Manager
He’s spun wrenches on bombers, slayed drone ops like they were on Project Runway, and now struts through the garage like every oil change is a red-carpet event. His torque wrench? Bedazzled. His toolbox? Color-coded and alphabetized, darling. He doesn’t just fix cars—he serves diagnostics with a side of drama and enough sass to ground an entire squadron. If your ride’s got issues, he’ll find them, fix them, and give it a nickname before you’ve finished your latte. Simply put: he’s the only mechanic who can rock coveralls like couture and still outshine your headlights.
FAQ
Quick answers to common questions.
Do you offer partial restorations?
Yes. We can take on discrete phases like rust repair, paint, wiring, or interiors. We’ll align the scope to your goals and budget.
Can I supply my own parts?
We’re happy to install owner‑supplied parts if they meet spec and availability. We’ll still photograph, test‑fit, and document everything.
Lead times and scheduling?
We typically book 6–12 weeks out. Major builds run 8–14+ months depending on metal condition, parts, and approvals.
